250 KW POWER GENERATION PACKAGE – LAND AND SEA

MTT designs and manufactures 250 KW Power Generation packages for both land and sea.  On land, the featured package is mobile and can provide power for any type of service requirement whether in the field or within a fixed environment.  At sea aboard a ship, the generator set can provide shipboard electrical power or propulsion power. 

The core unit is helicopter transportable.  It can also be mobilized on a standard, street legal trailer. 

 

OVERVIEW

Whether on the land or sea, the gensets can operate in an island mode, parallel to one or more sister units, or parallel to your diesel engine generators.  They can also tie to a utility or shore power grid.         

The 250 KW Powergen Set is most often configured for liquid fuels such as #2 diesel, Jet A, kerosene or bio-fuel.  Conversions are available for natural gas, CNG, LNG or propane.  There is also a dual fuel option whereby the unit can switch over from 100% liquid fuel to 100% gaseous and back (but not a blend of the two at the same time). 

The units can be designed for 480V, 600V and 4160V @ 50/60 Hz.  All applications can be adapted for standalone simple cycle or combined heat and power co-generation.   All units are portable.

The 250 KW Powergen packages perform with 100% load shed and acceptance with frequency and voltage stability. 

All units are customizable.  They can feature the most current digital controls and power management systems available.  Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) is fully customized to accommodate all levels of monitoring, alarms, shutdowns, data logging and web-based control and command. 

Use on Land and Sea.  Complies with US, EU and International Class standards.  The 250 KW Powergen packages can be used for military and commercial applications such as FEMA, EMS, medical camps and special events.

ARTICULATING TILT SKID

MTT is especially devoted to product durability.  For this reason, we test the units on an articulating skid base.  The configuration shown is for a shipboard application at sea.  We tried to mimic the actions of rough seas.  In so doing we confirmed the durability of the fuel and lubrication systems, digital signal integrity across the entire control and HMI loop, mechanical performance across the board, plus the small things that are usually taken for granted such as welds, couplings, hoses and hard lines.

The 250 KW Power Generation Set is a liquid fired turbine engine driven alternator through a planetary reduction gearbox mounted on a drive line chassis coupling mounted to the skid base and housed within a custom-built enclosure.
